Extrajudicial Dispute Settlement

On request, disputes between lawyers and their clients can be settled out of court by the local Chamber of Lawyers (Rechtsanwaltskammer) (pursuant to section 73 (2) no. 3 in connection with section 73 (5) of the Federal Lawyers Act (BRAO) or by the Conciliation Body of the German Federal Bar (Schlichtungsstelle der Rechtsanwaltschaft, section 191f BRAO), which can be found on the website of the German Federal Bar (Bundesrechtsanwaltskammer) (www.brak.de or by e-mail: schlichtungsstelle@brak.de).
